I’m Raisul Sohan. I was born in Kushtia and grew up in Dhaka. I spent my childhood and teenage years in Old Dhaka, and have lived the rest of my life in New Dhaka.
Stories are at the heart of my literary work. I’m interested in contemporary life, human relationships, memory, and the quiet ways a city changes over time. I work in motion graphics and animation for a living, but I see both that work and writing as different ways of telling stories.
